Remix Hotel Atlanta Announces Complete Programming and Panel Lineup

New York, NY (September 9, 2008) - Remix Hotel Atlanta, taking place at SAE's Atlanta campus September 18-20, has announced its 2008 schedule of panelists and programming. The panelists for the traveling music production and performance event produced by Remix magazine include several influential and prominent Atlanta-based producers, artists, engineers, and industry insiders - including Don Cannon, DJ Toomp, Kandi Burruss, J-Live, Richard Devine, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Needlz and more.

In addition, this year's series will kick off with a special Q&A session featuring Grammy Award-winning producer, Bryan-Michael Cox, who has produced records for Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown and Mariah Carey.

Remix Hotel Atlanta's panel topics include Atlanta's New Producers, Mixing by the Numbers, How to Develop a Dope Live Show and Songwriting for Producers. Other panels will feature similarly in-depth discussions on everything from innovative use of plug-ins to signal processing to composing music for TV and film.

Remix Hotel Atlanta also welcomes Technology and Media Partners Roland, Rane, Serato, Pioneer, IK Multimedia, B&H, iStandard, Ex'pression College for Digital Arts and others. Technology partners will present in-depth workshops, product demos and artist performances showcasing their latest gear.

General Admission to the event is free, and a $50 All Access pass guarantees entry to all the Remix Hotel panels during the three-day event. Additionally, All Access pass holders get free entry to the Atlantis Music Festival & Conference, and Atlantis attendees receive complimentary admission to all Remix Hotel exhibits and panels. The Atlantis Music Festival and Conference brings artists, industry, fans and media together to create opportunities in the ever-changing music business environment. Focused primarily on independent artists, Atlantis provides access to music education and opportunity through demo critiques, industry panels and A&R exposure.

With Remix Hotel Atlanta situated at the SAE Institute of Technology (215 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30303) and Atlantis residing at the CW Midtown Music Complex (1374 W. Peachtree St. Atlanta, GA 30309), this partnership offers an exciting weekend of new developments in music technology and production techniques as well as industry know-how, networking and live performances. Free shuttle service will transport attendees to and from each venue.

At the close of Remix Hotel hours each day, attendees are encouraged to head over to the CW Midtown Music Complex for nightly music performances, including the iStandard Producer Showcase on Friday, Sept. 19. The event features up-and-coming hip-hop, R&B and pop producers presenting tracks in front of industry tastemakers, including label executives, A&R reps and established producers. At the end of the evening, one winning producer will walk away with an extensive prize package.

Now in its sixth year, Remix Hotel brings together music industry leaders, artists, producers, decision makers and the audience that supports them in various cities across the nation. The three-day event combines interactive workshops, clinics, technology showcases and product demos with panels featuring leading producers and engineers, as well as performances by some of the world's top electronic and hip-hop artists.
