Penton Names Greg Frey VP of Agriculture Group

NEW YORK (July 14, 2008) - Penton Media, Inc. today announced the promotion of Greg Frey to vice president of its Agriculture Group. Frey had previously served as group publisher of Penton's crop publications, including The Farm Press titles (Delta Farm Press®, Southeast Farm Press®, Southwest Farm Press® and Western Farm Press®) as well as Corn and Soybean Digest® and Farm Industry News®. In his new role, he will continue to manage these brands, while adding responsibility for Penton's livestock titles including BEEF®, National Hog Farmer® and Hay & Forage Grower®. He will report to Dan Bagan, senior vice president.
Frey held various positions during his 16 year career with Penton and its predecessor companies, including division controller, business manager and publisher. He was named group publisher in 2004. He joined Penton in 1992 from Guardian Photo, Inc. Frey holds a BBA/B.S. degree from Bloomsburg University.
