Penton Media is seeking a .NET Web Developer to join the team in the Overland Park office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Design, develop and support web applications
  • Work with senior developers and project managers to launch new web products
  • Assist in support of existing data workflows and niche databases
  • Assist with deployment and quality control of web applications
  • Assist in technical discovery of new web products
  • Involved in SDLC process and assist in process changes
Position Qualifications:
 
Education, Experience, and Skill Required:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of web development experience
  • 2+ years of web development experience using ASP.NET
  • 2+ years of SQL development in SQL Server
  • 1+ years of source control (VSS, SVN or CVS)
  • Independent with excellent project and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert in troubleshooting
  • Expert knowledge of database and database fundamentals
  • Familiar of when to use object-oriented design patterns and how to implement.
  • Strong academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0)
 
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Technical Consulting Background
  • Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) or Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD)
  • 1+ years of mobile application development
  • 2+ years of SSIS and/or Stored Procedure development in SQL Server 2005
  • Strong academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0)
  • Knowledge of Business Aviation products
