We are seeking a Senior Editor to join the Natural Foods Merchandiser team in the Boulder, CO office.

• Provide editing and writing expertise to manage and write for the Business & Merchandising and Fresh & Grocery sections,
• Write breaking news for the website
• Represent the magazine at national trade shows.
• Oversee content for the Business & Merchandising and Fresh & Grocery sections
• Participate in the production cycle for the entire magazine, editing all content
• Assign work to, and work with, freelancers
• Writing: write one 800-word feature story a month; write at least one 300 word news story a week; write four FOB briefs per month; write four blogs per month; contribute to special projects.

• 6 years working as a magazine editor where writing, editing and managing a section were assigned duties.
• Natural products industry knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree (BA), preferably in English, journalism, or communications, from a four-year college or university.
• Writing and web experience preferred
• Proficient in Word
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Excellent editing, writing, proofreading skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in interviewing and magazine writing
