Penton is seeking a .Net Developer to join the Information Technology team in the Loveland office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop applications to design specifications using Microsoft Visual Studio in .NET and C#/VB.net environments
Design and develop web services components for cross-application solutions
Collaborate with production application developers on the support profile for their applications
Automate complex operational tasks using common scripting utilities
Coordinate and prioritize application modifications and bug fixes
Demonstrate use of tools, templates, standards, frameworks, shared libraries, and common operational utilities to facilitate manageable and supportable production application deployments
Build common administrative application business support modules to be used by application support and/or development groups for effective management of production applications.
Clearly communicate with business clients.
Stay current in new technologies and platforms, including training and education.

Position Qualifications:

Education/Experience

Preferred: 3+ years experience development, deployment and administration of systems and/or applications in an enterprise class data center
Required: Four year technical degree such as Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering
Desired: Experience developing complex, high-traffic websites and knowledge of the trade media a plus.

Required Skills

DotNetNuke experience required , specifically DNN Modules-reviewing and recommending modules for DNN "enterprise" package; researching modules for special needs, custom implementations and additional/incremental functionality
Microsoft .NET, C# and ASP.NET
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005/2008
MS SQL and TSQL experience a must
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills

Familiarity with source control management system, Subversion (SVN) or similar (CVS, VSS)
Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture
Documentation and reporting skills
Business process analysis
OpenWebStudio, jQuery or Silverlight experience a plus.
