Show Manager/Boulder

Position Description:

 Management, Trade Show, & P&L  experience desired and Natural Product Industry experience a plus

[1. Lead the sales, marketing and operations team for 2-3 in-person events
• Manage process and objectives of sales, marketing and operations
• Run regular team meetings to ensure effective communication about brand/goals, identification of opportunities and challenges and tracking against timelines and show requirements
• Provide opportunities for growth, empowerment, accountability and cohesion of team
• Work on an ongoing basis with the team to meet brand/product objectives
• Support and shape the vision and mission for the TS&C department

2. Develop, execute and communicate brand strategy with broad 3-year vision and next year measurable goals
3. Be an active participant in the TS&C industry and health & wellness industry as a leader for our company and the events managed
4. Work with senior management, client services director, VP of content, editorial, program development team and other content input areas for education, events and programming
• Identify community opportunities for print, emedia and in-person mediums
• Develop strategy and corresponding goals
5. Work closely with Client Services Director
• Ensure timeliness and effectiveness of client service plans
• Identify and provide input for vendor needs, as it relates to current partners and future needs
• Manage execution of community programming in line with brand strategy of events managed
6. Manage financials of events
• Set and justify expectations
• Manage statistics, revenue, expenses and EBITDA
• Report on and ensure accuracy of P&L actuals, forecasts, contingencies
? Maintain records of invoices, check requests, contracts in central department location
? Reconcile activity on an ongoing basis, and not less frequently than monthly
? Close events no more than 40 days post event (if year end is within this timeframe, this expectation will change to keep show close within year end)
7. Manage and encourage consistency and accuracy of team, as it relates to overall management of TS&C group
• Show timelines (marketing, production, financials, service & sales)
• Process and procedure documents
• Show policies
8. Produce post-show summary book within 60 days from the close of the event, including but not limited to:
• Client surveys (qualitative, quantitative and executive summaries)
• Download/upload notes from internal teams
• Reports (housing, registration, sales, marketing ROI, telemarketing, etc)
• Update of brand plan
9. Manage integration of partner groups into event team
• Integrate association, non-profit, sales agent and other partner agreements into events
• Integrate show boards into feedback and development mechanisms for shows
10. Actively participate in the identification and development of new opportunities for the TS&C department and NHNM
11. Work with team to develop brand/product campaigns and ensure proper messaging in related marketing efforts
12. Work closely with show manager group across all events to maintain consistency in procedures, timelines and staff communication, in addition to idea share solutions for improvement

Position Requirements:
[• Travel as requested to conferences, clients, vendors, tradeshows
• Provide consistent, timely reporting of projects: meet identified deadlines.
• Use identified software and tools for record keeping and event management
• Responsible for completing invoices, check requests, paperwork, database updates, etc. within 48 hours.
• Responsible for sending thank-you/post-show follow-up to clients/vendors, within 1 month.
• Responsible for following procedures, timelines & deadlines for projects as indicated.
• Assist in promoting all New Hope Natural Media products (in-print, in-person, & online) and providing these leads to appropriate divisions.
• Participate in applicable meetings. If not in attendance, accountable for learning about meeting discussions.
• Encourage a positive attitude at work and a "can-do" attitude.
• Consistently interact with clients with the utmost professionalism and respect at all times.
• Update applicable databases/technological tools with appropriate information.
• Integrate green/sustainable practices into work environment and events.
• Work within vision and core values of New Hope Natural Media.
