Operations Manager IT

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:

Position Summary: Manage Operations staff of 6 to 9 employees. Responsible for the day to day monitoring and maintenance of all servers, phone systems, data centers, and associated systems, and escalated end user calls. Responsible for training the Help Desk to support current technology. This is a hands-on position where the manager will also be required, in some instances, to perform the duties listed below.


Major Duties:

· Manage Operations staff of 6 to 9 people.
· Develop the staffs customer service and technical skills
· Manages all network and server hardware located onsite and at our 24 locations around the country, developing procedures and processes that ensure 99.9% uptime
· Maintains and monitors the operation of the organization's local and wide area networks
· Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of the network infrastructure
· Develops and maintains equipment monitoring schemas which allow quick network and system problem identification and resolution
· Provides level 2 and 3 technical support for issues escalated from the help desk.
· Maintains IP Phone and related systems
· Maintains the SQL server environment
· Upgrades network hardware and software components as required
· Documents, diagrams, and log changes, upgrades, and installation of computer networks and software components as needed
· Responds to network related issues during office and non-office hours through company issued cell phone

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:
· Strong customer service skills required
· 5 to 10 years experience with Microsoft Windows required
· IP phone system experience preferred
· Strong Microsoft SQL experience preferred
· Strong Local and wide area network experience preferred
· Strong analytical ability and good judgment
