Email Specialist

Position Summary:
Come play a leading role in the growth of the Penton New Media team. We are seeking candidates for an Email Specialist located in our Overland Park, KS office. This entry-level position will manage promotional email campaigns, to include marketing and deliverability analysis, in a fast-paced team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage email promotional campaigns to include audience selection, copy-editing, testing and deployment through online toolset.
• Optimize email deliverability and response by communicating and implementing industry best practices with internal clients.
• Ensure all promotional campaigns are Can-Spam compliant.
• Schedule email campaigns to maintain database viability/integrity.
• Monitor, analyze and communicate overall delivery and response statistics.
• Develop effective and customized email marketing campaigns in consultation with internal clients

Position qualifications:
• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with a wide range of internal clients.
• Possess interest in marketing - planning, process and analysis
• Experience with Microsoft office programs, particularly Outlook and Excel, strongly preferred
• Basic HTML and/or Dreamweaver experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required, marketing/business majors preferred.
