Database Marketing Manager/ Boulder

Position Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for database marketing activities across multiple business units. Provide guidance to marketing teams for audience profiling, list segmentation, new audience acquisition, tracking and marketing analysis including ROI. Manage proprietary trade show and conference marketing database (ADAPT) including establishment of demographic codes, data collection procedures from source systems such as registration vendor database, coordination between IT and sources (including vendors) for data load verification, loading data files, and training and support of end users. Coordinate data collection and reporting in any system that collects or stores data that is used in marketing such as Act For Notes, A2Z and Salesforce.com. Special research projects to support various aspects of new and existing businesses in the Supplier to Manufacturer, Manufacturer to Retail, and Retail to Consumer channels as needed.

Position Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Must have experience using data to support direct marketing goals either as a marketer or as a marketing database manager preferably in a retail/grocery and food/beverage manufacturer market.

· Must have experience with a marketing list database in Access or SQL or SPSS or equivalent preferably in both a planning capacity and a use capacity.

· Must have experience purchasing data from third party data vendors and communicating list plans to managers and production vendors (mail house and/or email vendor and/or telemarketing vendor).

· Must have the ability to communicate technical constraints or opportunities to non-technical people in order to assist in decision making or problem solving (specifically with marketing/sales decision makers and/or their managers).

· Requires demonstrated understanding of direct marketing processes including goal setting, list purchase, list planning, tracking and ROI.

· Must be extremely detail-oriented, well organized and solution-oriented.

Data Processing:

Manage maintenance of ADAPT including data structure changes, data processing, data quality and cleansing procedures as well as end user training and support.
Coordinate data collection and reporting in any system that collects or stores data that is used in marketing or market analysis such as Act For Notes, A2z, Oracle Expo Application and Salesforce.com
Understand demographics and data structure of systems to ensure consistency among data sources.
Communicate and coordinate understanding of Corporate Privacy procedures to anyone who manages data or customer communications
Coordinate understanding of list sales procedures amongst stakeholders (list "owners" and BUD managers with list sales revenue goals)
Approve list sales for exhibitions in conjunction with sales managers
Manage Special Project/Research Coordinator to prepare monthly list sales reports.

Required travel at least twice a year for a week at a time at NHNM trade shows plus travel to other tradeshows as needed.
